Hands of Stone

The thick claws of stone crabs yield chunks of sweet, delicious meat. These beautiful crustaceans are capable of regrowing their claws so after being trapped they are released to regrow them. I'm fortunate to have commercial fishermen and crabbers as friends so we enjoy a mess of them from time to time. 

John McLean's art is inspired by the inimitable Florida Everglades. Each print requires many hours to produce.
